2. What is the difference between Non-Exclusive and Exclusive licenses?

  • Non-Exclusive License: Allows you to use the vocal asset in your original production. Multiple producers may purchase and use non-exclusive vocals, making it an affordable option for commercial releases, streaming, and sync pitching (subject to platform streaming limits).

  • Exclusive License: Grants you sole ownership of the specific vocal recording. Once an exclusive vocal is purchased, it is permanently retired from the marketplace, ensuring you retain unique commercial rights for your release.

3. Can I use VOCOLO vocals for commercial releases and streaming?

Yes! All pre-recorded vocals purchased on VOCOLO come with cleared commercial usage rights according to your licensing tier (Non-Exclusive or Exclusive). You can release your tracks on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and digital stores, as well as pitch them for sync licensing.

(Note: Standard publishing split agreements apply as outlined in our terms—typically a 50/50 writer's share split unless specified otherwise for buyout licenses).

4. Are custom vocal recording services available?

Currently, custom commercial label release projects and bespoke vocal recordings are on temporary pause. Our catalog focuses entirely on ready-to-use, pre-recorded sync assets, toplines, and sample packs available for instant download.

5. What audio formats are included in the downloads?

All vocal stems and sample packs are delivered in pristine studio quality:

  • Dry & Wet Acapellas: 24-bit / 44.1kHz or 48kHz WAV files (completely isolated, dry studio takes recorded via professional gear like the AKG C414).
