1. Overview & Commitment to Human Performance

VOCOLO (thevocolo.com) is built by artists, for artists, specializing in 100% human-recorded, original, and cover vocals and professional studio sample packs. Because our core mission centers on authentic human performance and organic sync assets, strict guidelines govern the use or integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across our platform.

2. Prohibition of AI-Generated Vocals & Impersonation

To protect creators, buyers, and legal compliance across streaming and sync markets:

  • No AI Vocals: All vocal files, acapellas, and toplines sold or listed on VOCOLO must feature authentic human performances. Generating or uploading synthetic, AI-generated, or machine-cloned vocal lines to sell on the marketplace is strictly prohibited.

  • No Voice Cloning or Sound-Alikes: You are strictly forbidden from uploading or utilizing any audio that imitates, clones, or replicates a real, recognizable artist’s voice or likeness without explicit legal authorization.

3. Protection Against AI Model Training (Anti-Scraping)

By accessing VOCOLO, browsing our catalog, or purchasing assets, you explicitly agree that:

  • No Data Harvesting: You may not use, extract, scrape, or harvest any audio files, previews, stems, text, or metadata from VOCOLO to train, develop, test, or improve any machine learning algorithms, generative AI models, voice-cloning software, or synthetic audio systems.

  • Enforcement: We actively monitor our platform for unauthorized data scraping and automated extraction. Any violation will result in immediate account termination, revocation of licenses, and potential legal action.

4. Producer Use of AI-Assisted Production Tools

While our vocal assets must be human-performed, we recognize that modern music producers frequently use digital audio workstations (DAWs) and production plugins featuring AI assistance (such as smart EQ, mixing assistants, or AI-driven stem separators).

  • Producers who purchase non-exclusive or exclusive vocals from VOCOLO may use standard industry software to mix, master, and arrange their completed tracks.

  • However, raw vocal stems purchased from VOCOLO may not be fed into generative AI tools to create derivative voice models or synthetic sound-alikes.

5. Compliance, Distribution, and Copyright Responsibility

  • Commercial Releases: Buyers incorporating VOCOLO vocals into original musical works retain full rights to release their finished, mixed tracks on streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music) and pitch them for sync licensing, provided the track complies with our standard licensing terms.

  • User Responsibility: Creators utilizing third-party production tools in tandem with our catalog are solely responsible for ensuring their final master recordings comply with digital distributor guidelines and copyright laws.
